This year for many people is the year of the staycation – with all sorts of problems with foreign travel at the moment due to the pandemic, staying in the UK feels like a safer bet. With so many places to see and so much beautiful countryside to explore in the UK, staying in the country is a great way to enjoy a holiday.

One of the most beautiful locations to soak up some peace and quiet and natural relaxation is Wilshire – famous for its beautiful countryside and historic buildings there are lots of things to do in Salisbury for the whole family including of course a visit to the beautiful cathedral.

If you are heading to Wiltshire and want to enjoy some of the walking routes and stunning countryside scenery, here are a few great places to enjoy a walk…

The Westbury White Horse – This is a landmark in Wiltshire, a huge white horse carved into the hillside. As well as the views to the white horse it is only a short walk to an Iron age fort, Bratton Camp.
