First Aid – having first aiders on site is not only a legal requirement, but it is the right thing to do. It will enable you to help any employees and visitors who attend your business premises should they have an accident or fall ill whilst at work. It is important that you send your chosen individuals to the correct Emergency First Aid Training Courses for your workplace. Fire – having fire marshals is also another great way to keep your staff safe in the event of a fire. These individuals will be responsible for ensuring their areas are evacuated quickly and safely and for ensuring that anyone with mobility issues is supported to leave the building. In some cases, the fire marshalls may also be trained to use fire extinguishers.

Risk Assessments – these form the bedrock of your safety precautions and give you an indication of where the risks in your business lie. Once you are aware of these, you will be able to then put measures and procedures in place to help combat these risks. Depending on your business sector, it may be a legal requirement for you to have a number of risk assessments in place.
