The Bonded warehouse is a place where pre-exercise (TAX and VAT) paying imports and goods are stored. This is generally items like tobacco products and beers, wines and spirits. The reason why this is done is that these items need to be stored for a lengthy period of time. The conditions for selling such items can fluctuate radically given the shifting taxation of different countries.

Bonded Warehouse Management is quite a tricky field. You need to be sure that you have the correct controls in place so having an exception in the field is essential. You need to Visit Gaina and have a word with the professionals so that the bonded warehouse runs as smoothly as clock work.

Try and imagine large repositories of duty free products. A bit like the old days when you had to declare so much and pay tax on what you did. When we integrated with the EU this was lost as there were no limits. Now that we have left the EU the days of the Duty free shop will be back. The bonded warehouse is a place to store these goods before that duty is paid and they can hit the streets.
